POSITION SUMMARY: The Advanced Practice Provider (“APP”), either a certified Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Physician Assistant (PA), works on the Hospitalist team providing patient care to include, admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, medication management, performing hospital rounds, and planning for discharge.
QUALIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS
Education: Master’s degree in the respective field required
Experience: 2-3 years’ experience working as an APP preferred
Certifications/Licensure: Licensed by PA Board of Nursing and certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (“ANCC”) or equivalent body; or, Certified as a Physician’s Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (“NCCPA”). BLS, ACLS, and Healthcare Provider certifications (i.e DEA) required.
