Speech Therapy
The Speech Language Pathologists (also called Speech Therapists) at FCMC provide therapy for children and adults whose ability to communicate or swallow may have been affected by injury or illness. We pride ourselves in providing the most current and evidence driven treatment for individuals with communication impairments, cognitive-communication, swallowing, or voice limitations. Our skilled Speech-Language Pathologists provide the best care for your needs while remaining aware of the sensitivity that some of us feel regarding these issues.

Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBSS)
MBSSs (also known as a “video swallow study”) are available through outpatient services when ordered by your physician. The purpose of this study is to identify the cause of difficulty or impairments related to swallowing. Your study at FCMC will be completed in the radiology department, with the radiologist and Speech-Language Pathologist present. Once the study is complete, the SLP will use that information in developing your continued treatment plan. For more information about how a Speech Language Pathologist could help you and/or your family, call us at 717-485-6108 or visit https://www.asha.org/public/ to learn more.
